Mahila Melawa - महिला मेळावा

JBGVS works on its agenda of women empowerment, especially in rural areas, in a variety of ways. Along with interventions at the grass root level, it is also important to review and felicitate the co-partners (beneficiaries) periodically. The annual Mahila Melawa of the Andra Maval region of Pune district and a cultural event on eve of Makar Sankrant was jointly organized by JBGVS and self-help groups (SHGs). The 500 participating women from 30 SHGs from across 18 villages were provided guidance by way of talks and street plays on topics like women empowerment, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, importance of Sankrant festival, tree plantation, safeguarding of girl child and position of women in society. Several interesting games were also organized for the women.
महिला सबलीकरणाच्या मुद्द्यावर जेबीजीव्हीएस नेहेमीच विविध प्रकारे कार्यरत असते, विशेषतः ग्रामीण भागांत. प्रत्यक्ष कृतीसोबतच वेळोवेळी झालेल्या कामाचा आढावा व लाभार्थींचे अभिनंदन करणेही गरजेचे असते. अलीकडेच पुणे जिल्ह्यातील आंद्र मावळ भागात वार्षिक महिला मेळावा व संक्रांत उत्सव बचत गट व संस्थेच्या संयुक्त विद्यमाने आयोजित करण्यात आला होता. एकूण १८ गावांतील ३० बचत गटांच्या ५०० महिलांनी यामध्ये सहभाग घेतला. भाषणे व पथनाट्ये या माध्यमांतून त्यांना महिला सबलीकरण, स्वच्छ भारत अभियान, संक्रांतीचे महत्व, वृक्ष लागवड, बेटी बचाव-बेटी पढाव आणि समाजातील महिलांचे स्थान या विषयांवर मार्गदर्शन करण्यात आले. विविध खेळांचेही आयोजन करण्यात आले होते.
